I have to apologise, I've been really slack with the up keep of this blog. I suppose also, I feel like I haven't had anything worth sharing. Would be great to be in a state of mind and lifestyle where I could share something every week that I know would just be great stuff for my readers! Anywho; Just put together a few photo's that were taken not more than 400 meters from my home in London. Life is great, and London is amazing! There's inspiration every where you look.

A Set back to move forward?
I have to apologise for the delayed upkeep in my blog, it is something that I promise I will improve! However, to be completely honest I have had a major set-back in the last 48 hours. To my naiveté, I went for a picnic in a park I thought perfectly safe. Here I was mugged (Thank the Lord we were not hurt, but I have to tell you I backed right off as soon as the mongrel took it because I did not trust what he was capable of) and what was taken: my Nikon in which I prized as the best thing I have had since traveling throughout Europe. Alas, I am without my creative tool and left pitifully to save for a new one.
I'm going to put a few pic's on here that I've taken in the last few weeks, in the weeks before my camera's little old death, (ha!). So as I begin to save for a new one, I'm going to be experimenting on an old Canon film SLR that I've been lent (I'll be sure to let you know how that turns out!) but also going to be looking into an upgrade; (I suppose sometimes these things happen for a reason.) It might really enable me to commit to a more decent camera and take this little photo fetish I have to the next level.

Doonan Confusion
My close friends would know that I often carry around my chunky camera in hopes to spot something worth taking a photo of. Although, my skills are limited and I am still quite amateur, there is no denying that I have a love and have a passion for photography. I'm not exactly sure what my niche is yet, what sort of photography I specifically love, and what I want to do with this interest, but what better way than to blog about your thoughts and experiment with whatever you can?
I have had many people inspire me of late, people who I believe have a great sense of creativity and really make their work beautiful. People who come to mind; Thaoski. She writes amazing blogs for sweethearts/engaged couples and presents it so artistically that you cannot tear your eyes away. (www.thaoski.co.uk). Chris McLennan: A very talented photographer I was lucky enough to work alongside throughout Europe (I played 'model,' haha!) He's photos were phenomenal and of course, added fuel to my photographic fire. David Lau: Also another talented photographer who creates funky and original photographs, he is entirely inspiring and so approachable when wanting to find out more about photography and willing to share how he takes such damn good photo's.
I am lucky to have two beautiful best friends who helped me experiment with this blog. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to portray in these photos, but ultimately just wanted to try and create some photos that held depth and even, something a little weird. It quickly tells a story of two strangers who met, and had more in common then they would have thought or known. I shot all of these photos with a Nikon D5000 with a 1.4 50 mm Prime lens.
Amateur: is generally considered a person attached to a particular pursuit, study or science, without pay and often without formal training. A french word for "lover of" and Latin word for "lover."
Models: Hannah Grieve, Summer Kendrick.
Photographer: Star Kendrick
Location: Dath Henderson Drive, Doonan. QLD.
